Terms & Conditions

General Terms for Commission Orders & Design Services: 
  1. During the design process it is expected that the client will work with Lack Studio to reach the results
  2. The client agrees that it is their own responsibility to provide Lack Studio with all the content required for the commission (ie. mood board for illustrations, design brief for graphic design projects)


  1. Full payment is required upon commencement of the project.
  2. You will receive the full invoice through email after the acceptance of design concept or proposal, the proposal or general idea could be via emails or messages on Instagram, whichever the client prefers.
  3. The charges for the services are set out in the invoice.
  4. During the design process, it's common to find that additional materials may be necessary to bring your vision to life. ie. A requested commercial font, stock photography. The additional charges for pictures and fonts may apply. 


Copyrights, Ownership, and Trademarks 
  1. By supplying text, images and other data to Lack Studio for inclusion in the artwork, you affirm that you have the necessary copyright and/or trademark permissions. Your ownership of these materials will be respected and retained by you or the rightful owner. 
  2. Copyright of all illustration is retained by Lack Studio including copy, concepts, ideas, proofs and illustrations (unless specifically released in writing).
  3. By providing images, text, or other data to Lack Studio, clients give permission for the studio to use this material freely and include designs in their portfolio unless otherwise specified. 
  4. Lack Studio may use any artwork/design for its own promotion and portfolio use, share on social media platforms.
  5. Our designs are unique and meant for one-time use or agreed projects/items only. If you plan on mass-producing or selling profitable products featuring our design, please seek permission and discuss royalty and licensing agreements with us. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. 


Alterations & Revisions 

  1. Our commission projects come with two rounds of minor changes included. After that, any extra revisions will incur an additional hourly fee. We always communicate and get your approval before proceeding with work that may have additional charges. Your satisfaction is our top priority.
  2. It's important to note that any additional changes requested beyond the estimated work or after draft design acceptance may result in extra charges. Clear communication and understanding are key for a smooth project collaboration. 


Commission Order - Time Required

  1. Important Notice: Please be informed that any timeline provided by Lack Studio for commissioned orders is an estimation. Lack Studio disclaims responsibility for project delays, regardless of the reason. Kindly consider the estimated project duration from the date when the deposit is cleared and received by us.


Rights of Refusal 

  1. At Lack Studio, we prioritise respect and positivity. We pledge to keep our content free from anything that may be deemed harmful or inappropriate. ie. immoral, offensive or illegal.
  2. Lack Studio has the right to decline submitted material without explanation.

Please note that if a client cancels or changes an order after it has been placed with Lack Studio, additional costs may apply.

Please note that once work has begun and there's proof of execution, refunds for our graphic design services will not be granted. Thank you for understanding!
